Weed + Feed | Garden Workday & Community Potluck (June)
WEED + FEED
Garden Workday & Community Potluck
Sunday June 22 | 11-2 garden work + 2-4 community meal
Get your hands in the dirt this weekend! Join us at Long Branch Environmental Education Center for an afternoon of orchard care and community connection.
We'll start the day with a mini lesson on soil-friendly weed solutions at both the garden and orchard scales that you can take back to your own garden!
Following the mini lesson, we’ll work as a crew to weed and mulch our apple orchards .
After our hands-on work, we invite everyone to relax and share a delicious community potluck—a celebration of our collective effort and the Earth we steward. Long branch will provide a big “rice and beans” style dish to accompany all the yummy additions that volunteers may choose to contribute.
What to Bring:
A water bottle
Gardening gloves (if you have them)
A dish to share (please label ingredients)
Friends, family, and a spirit of community!
All ages and experience levels welcome. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just curious, this is a great way to connect with people, plants, and purpose.
Hosted by Long Branch Environmental Education Center
