Needles, threads, fabric, and friends. Mend & Friend is an evening for gathering together around the simple, grounding act of repair. What can feel like a chore alone becomes something joyful in community.
We’ll have stations, each with a guide to support beginners and welcome seasoned stitchers alike:
Hand-sewing & hemming – learn or practice simple stitches
Darning – repair knits like socks and sweaters
Outdoor gear repair & sewing machines – tackle zippers, seams, and tears
Bring along clothing or gear that needs attention, and join us in patching, hemming, and sharing skills side by side.
Between stitches, we’ll share food potluck-style—snacks, dishes, and stories from our tables.
