Fall Equinox Weekend: Garden Work, Bonfire & Potluck, and Sunrise Hike & Breakfast
Saturday, September 20 – Sunday, September 21

Celebrate the turning of the seasons with a weekend of connection, stewardship, and balance. As day and night meet in equal measure, we’ll gather in community to honor the abundance of late summer and welcome the stillness of autumn.

Saturday, September 20

  • 2:00–5:00 PM – Garden Workday (ARRIVE AT 2PM)
Roll up your sleeves and help tend the gardens as we prepare for fall and early winter — harvesting, weeding, mulching, and planting.

  • 5:00–6:00 PM – Camp Setup
Pitch your tent or set your hammock. Car camping welcome.

  • 6:00–7:30 PM – Potluck & Grill-Out
Bring a favorite seasonal dish to share; we’ll have the grill hot and ready for anything you’d like to cook.

  • 7:30 PM – Bonfire & Equinox Celebration
As the sun sets, we’ll gather around the fire to celebrate the balance of light and dark with shared reflection, music, and seasonal ritual.

Sunday, September 21

  • 6:30 AM – Sunrise Hike
Wake to the aroma of fresh coffee and tea (included with your ticket), then set out together for the bald at the top of the property. We’ll arrive in time to watch the sun rise over the mountains.

  • 9:30 AM – Communal Breakfast
Hike back down to a hot, hearty breakfast prepared by our volunteer team — a nourishing close to our weekend together.

Come for the afternoon, the evening, or camp overnight to experience the full arc of the equinox. This is a family-friendly event, and all are welcome.

What’s Included with Your Ticket: Fresh-brewed coffee and tea on Sunday morning, and a prepared hot breakfast after the sunrise hike.

What to Bring: Work gloves, water bottle, camping gear (if staying overnight), a dish to share for the potluck, and a headlamp or flashlight for the evening.

Cost: Sliding scale donation of $15-$45 per person (helps us cover the cost of Sunday breakfast and coffee/tea and allocate a portion of the funds to seeds for the garden workday)
