Winter Dreaming is a Winter Solstice gathering devoted to rest, reflection, and collective imagination.
In the deep quiet of the year’s turning, we will be guided into a Yoga Nidra–inspired dream state—an intentional space between waking and sleeping where insight, integration, and creativity naturally arise.
This practice invites participants to gently digest and assimilate the experiences of 2025—personally and collectively—while opening space to dream into what is wanting to emerge in 2026, both for ourselves and for Long Branch as a growing community.
This is not a goal-setting workshop or a planning session, but a community dream space—a place to rest together, listen inward, and allow images, feelings, and intentions to form organically.
No prior yoga or meditation experience is required. Participants are invited to come comfortable, ready to rest, and open to dreaming.
Anticipated Flow (2 Hours)
Arrival + Welcoming Tea
We’ll begin with a gentle, grounding tea and quiet arrival time to help everyone settle into the space, land in their bodies, and arrive at the slower rhythm of the solstice.Guided Yoga Nidra / Dream Journey
Participants will be guided through a deeply restful Yoga Nidra practice designed to support integration of the past year and invite personal and collective dreaming for the year ahead.Rest, Nap, Journal, or Create
Following the Nidra, the space will remain open for continued rest. Participants are welcome to nap, journal, draw, or simply sit with whatever images or sensations have emerged. Art materials and writing supplies will be available.Gentle Closing (Optional Sharing)
We’ll close the gathering by slowly reorienting together, with an optional opportunity to share reflections, dreams, or words that surfaced during the practice.
We ask that folks arrive on time, as we will close the doors 10-15 minutes after the event start time to keep our space feeling safe, cozy, and contained. If you cannot make it before that closing mark, please come to our next event instead on New Year’s Day.
Please let us know if you cannot afford the lowest sliding scale cost of the ticket - no one will be turned away for lack of funds! Email allie@longbrancheec.org
