U-Pick: Donation by the pint for u-pick raspberries. Please leave a donation in our donation box or donate ahead of time on our website. Pricing is on our signage near the parking area.
U-Pick Principles:
1. Respect the Plants
Harvest with care. Only pick ripe berries—deep red and easily removed with a gentle tug.
Avoid damaging the canes or stepping on young growth. The plants feed us, and we care for them in return.
2. Take Only What You’ll Use
Pick responsibly to reduce waste. Gather only what you can eat, preserve, or share.
Leave some for others—wildlife, future visitors, and the land itself.
3. Honor the Land
Stay on paths and within designated picking areas to avoid soil compaction and protect surrounding ecosystems.
Recognize that this land is part of a living system; treat it with reverence.
4. Fairness and Sharing
Be mindful of others. Share the space and abundance so everyone has a chance to enjoy the harvest.
Our farm practices equitable pricing so local families of all income levels can participate—respect this by paying honestly.
5. Learn and Teach
Ask questions and share knowledge. U-pick is also a chance to learn about plants, soil, and ecology.
Children are welcome and encouraged—but please supervise them to ensure safe and respectful harvesting.
6. Leave No Trace
Use compost or waste bins provided—do not drop stems, half-eaten berries, or trash on the ground.
Leave the farm as you found it, or better.
7. Support Regeneration
Understand that harvesting is part of a cycle. Picking carefully helps the plant fruit more over time.
Contributions to the farm (whether by picking gently, sharing feedback, or volunteering) support future harvests.
8. Gratitude and Connection
Take a moment to appreciate the plants, soil, sun, and people who made your harvest possible.
Let the simple act of picking a berry remind you of your connection to land and life.
PARKING:
Please carpool with as many folks as possible, as our parking is limited. Head up our bumpy gravel road, following the signs to Long Branch. When you see the signs for parking, keep left up the steep slope and park in the open grassy area.
